Can't really blame Brent for his vocal work. Dude was never supposed to be the band's lead singer and i bet he knows he has always been an average vocalist. However, he stepped in the uncomfortable shoes of his role without ever complaining and ever since, he just tries to do his best.

And let's be honest guys: playing guitar like Brent and singing at the same time is one hell of a task

besides his weird cat vocals which, whatever, I love brent's vocals. the guy is definitely not a traditionally great or even good singer. but it has such a unique quality that i absolutely love. it's a big reason why crack the skye is probably my favorite album of theirs and I really enjoy his voice on the new songs as well. I really can't stand troy's vocals nowadays though.

i guess the story is his parents made him go to a musical school and start with banjo before they would let him play electric guitar

""Seabeast" was [Joey Jordinson's] favorite song for a long time. We played it because he specifically requested it. If you play in Slipknot and you bring your own homemade sign to a gig, we're going to have to accommodate that request." - Troy, 2013
