The last half of the album is where it really shines. Still lips of ashes is one of te most beautiful songs ever.

But still so far something feels off about this album. I can't quite place what it is but the way the songs feel is preventing me from liking them as much as I want to.

Look I know that "flawless" production is all opinion, but it's technically flawless here. Don't see what the big deal with what I said is.

The production is definitely not flawless, all of the songs so far feel flat and without room to breathe.

Again, when I say flawless, I meant technically.

I guess, there's nothing technically wrong with it but still doesn't jell well with me.

The technicality of the songs are fantastic though.

Yeah fallenbird don't start with this one, overall it's pretty great but it only has some highlights. Try Deadwing next, it progs fucking hard

but it's technically flawless here.

............................................................ yeah ok dude

and yeah what fallen said. album is so overproduced its like a a waiting room coated with hand sanitizer. all emotive properties have literally been sanitized away. such a cold and neurotically pristine sound. kind of reminds me of an agoraphobe washing dirt off his hands with lye and steal wool.

@Fallen It's way too polished for some yea, but it adds for the mood for me. The production is

certainly not for everyone.

Or maybe try Stupid Dream, as that one actually has a lot of true emotive moments

so how is "way too polished" flawless? being ocd about cleanliness is a flaw on its own, as is overly clean production.

i actually hate wilsons production more than pretty much any other producer i can think of

Deadwing is in the same vein so yea maybe try out Stupid Dream. It's a pretty different style.

Actually Deadwing is less accessible than this one and is a lot more proggy... I wouldn't really say it's in the same vein

Ugh Pots when I said that I meant that TO SOME PEOPLE it's overly polished. The flawless thing is just my opinion of it.
