As much as people complain about this not being immediate enough, this is also the first album where nothing actively turned me off on the first listen. The interludes were unnecessary, but the songs lent themselves to relistening imo

I also don’t think it’s fair to assume people aren’t getting it because they haven’t given it enough time. I liked it on first listen but now it’s starting to lose me after hearing it more and realizing it’s not as interesting as I’d hoped. I still like it but it’s outclassed by pretty much all of their previous material

Also people that have been immediately dismissing it have generally been people that don’t care much for the band to begin with, fans of the band are obviously going to come back to it under the pretense of “it’s Tool so I won’t understand it after 1 listen”

I'd add just there's 2 types of relistens...this consecutive ones we are doing...and to listen to this someday later when all this passes...My subsequent listens led me to your rate DrGonzo...lets see how it hits someday in the future...it will be interesting. Good job Nightbringer. But my first listen was a 4...so I'm also with Sitar.

Legion's alright. It's peaceful at least. The other two are pretty annoying but at least they're fairly short.
