i just want to remind all the pack-animals coming around to join in on the soap-opera and berate sowing that sexual assault cases are one of the most complicated instances in the north american justice system.

they do not have the technology or effective enough laws and systems in place to be able to provide concrete evidence in a lot of these cases. yes, it is top priority to take all allegations seriously and try to do justice for all women who have been sexually harassed or assaulted, but assuming guilt and sentencing people for sexual assault crimes without conclusive trial contradicts the fundamental principles of the legal system in place no?

gotta do these women justice, but we also need to protect people from life-ruining false accusations. all i saw sowing imply is that he isn't going to abolish the man over allegations, he wanted to see more evidence. maybe i missed some other things but as far as im concerned you'd have to pretty forcibly misconstrue that statement to actually start calling him a misogynist piece of shit. he may have just as well been exercising his right to not immediately believe everything he reads and get up in arms about it as fast as possible. he had to wait, what, a day until jessy commented and confirmed and then sowing basically said "welp, that settles it, he is indeed a creep".

What most people got bent out of shape about was me implying that she might have asked for it - not in the sense like "oh man, she was asking for it" but in the sense that all bands have groupies. I've seen more than my fair share of instances where the female was actually at fault, and often attempting to blackmail the man for her own financial benefit and/or making it all up to begin with. Never ever meant to say that is definitely the case, or blame the victim, or anything of that sort. I definitely didn't state myself clearly or as I intended to, but was basically berated even by those who know me better, despite me having apologized and clarified at length. But whatever. Perhaps I deserve the backlash. I just still feel it was disproportionate in response and that many are self-righteous hypocrites calling people out for stuff they routinely said just a few years back on this site.
