yea has always been the best one. White Pony was forward for its time but this one encapsulated their sound so well of the time before they experimented with Meshuggah tones and riffs.

Stephen in particular really shines on this album. Some of his best riffs are on here.

I played battle axe over the speakers at the store today and some middle aged lady asked what band it was I thought she was about to complain but she said she liked it

She got good taste. What kind of store is it?
|

a high end liquor store
I might experiment with making the music very gradually heavier and see if I can’t get the customers listening to primitive man in a few months

the only remotely weak song on this is Good Morning Beautiful. And even that one works

I love it too, but when every song is an 11/10 that's my pick for the weak link

Never been big on Moana, easily my least favourite here

The aggressive stuff here is up with their best but some of the slow tracks drag

Moana felt a bit off at first but it grew on me so much. Perfect closer

I either like or dislike Moana on any given any day. It's okay but just imagine Lovers as the closer. Too bad they didn't finish that one in time.

Molten hot take... Lovers is overrated and I'm glad it didn't make it on here (plus it doesn't fit anywhere)

I think it would fit really well after Lucky You, since it comes in with that deep saw synth sound, and then go into Bloody Cape a lot more smoothly
