To play devils advocate r kelly undoubtedly made the best mainstream randb of the 90s. Bump and grind remix and i wish is proof of this. However will you never listen to those songs and thus invalidate all memories associated with said music because the person who made it was a vile human. You can replace r kelly with charles manson, morrisey etc whatever controversial musician 🤌

Cultural appropriation and separating the art from the artist are two wholly different things. My thing I was so deadset about explaining here was that you can all the fun you want with hip hop, as a person that relates to it or a voyeur or what have you, I just want people to respect the place it comes from, the artform, and the culture at the end of the day.
But yeah, I still listen to R. Kelly sometimes. Dude's a complete shitheel and villain and I hope his career is dead and gone forever though lol.
