This album was huge yeah, in its own way close to as ubiquitous as ‘Nevermind’

But we're not saying that ubiquity = objective quality now, are we?
Because that is an axiom I cannot get behind.

This album got me into metal. I was 11 when it came out, and had previously only really experienced classic rock and 80s pop. This hit at right around the same time as Nevermind, Ten, Vulgar Display of Power, Dirt, Facelift, Slave to the Grind and BadMotorFinger. What a time it was to be alive.

Same Hans dude although Nevermind blew it all about the water for me. Absolutely revolutionary.

Not for me. I HATE it deeply. That's why I glorify foreclosure of a dream more than bullets...

Probably the only song from that period I don't care about.
And many can argue that dawn patrol is even worse, but for me sweating bullets is megadeth's better than you. Yep I also hate that song.

I still remember the day I first heard The Unforgiven. "No, this isn't Metallica... it can't be."

I'm not sure how anyone can deny that Sandman, Sad but True, Unforgiven, Wherever I May Roam, Of Wolf and Man and My Friend of Misery ALL have absolutely iconic, classic-tier riffs that are engraved onto the consciousness of probably the majority of metalheads worldwide
