Has anyone noticed how Fade, Welcome home and one all start with the same exactly chord ?? The notes are just being used in a different pattern. It shows what great songwriters these guys used to be back in their heyday.

ehh, im no musician, but i'm pretty sure those aren't chords and basically are just the sound of Kirk's guitars

Think this album gets too much hate. If the production wasn't awful and they had a good drummer, this would probably be pretty solid. I even like this more than their self-titled.

i think lars is holding them back from better, faster music because james hetfield is one hell of a frontman

Well, Hetfield plays all these intros and yes, these notes are part of the same chord, they are just being arpeggiated in a different way in every song. Check the covers on youtube if you want to understand what i'm rumbling about :-P

I remember i couldn't reach some notes and getting frustrated about my fingers not being long enough lol. Sooner than later though, i learned it was only a matter of practice.

"I played every single song of this album in the game, and I don't recall it being any different..?"
Unless you're listening to it from your TV very loudly and really paying attention, or wearing headphones whilst you play (for whatever reason), the differences shouldn't be that obvious. If you're listening with headphones, though, the differences between the mixes is really obvious.
Just check this out to see what I mean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Nfqpr3ygSg

"I played every single song of this album in the game, and I don't recall it being any different..?"
Guitar Hero Metallica has the master mixes of the songs. Like Zaruyache said, try paying really closely attention or using headphones, and the difference in mixing quality is astounding.
