probably cos we've all been listening to the live versions from Eaux Claires for a month so we're all out-discussed. but it's almost AOTY for me

all the songs were longer on the live versions which makes me think there are extended versions which will get released at some point, I live in hope. 666 is the only one I was really disappointed with the studio version, it kinda got tamed pretty hard but otherwise it's all equally good or better on the album

22, A Million's structure feels a lot more deliberate than Vernon's other projects in terms of its thematic value. It feels almost regressive, and like it's being stripped back - a few of the concluding tracks sound like songs that could've fit on a lot of his older work, prior to Bon Iver, but if that was intentional, it would've been interesting to see him touch on something similar to For Emma or Blood Bank. Feels like a missed opportunity. That said, I could be interpreting it wrong, haven't listened to it closely enough.

The drumming on Team has me hypnotized.

Who would this album be recommended to?
The Iron & Wine comparisons on the first couple pages got me intrigued and listening to the first track from this I hear a little Sun Kil Moon
