Build up to and from 2:45 to the end of Sequoia Throne is one of my favourite parts of this album. Sweeping and vocals are just epic. This Message Edited On 01.03.09

Great album, I personally think think Kezia is better, but this is still a great follow up. The guitar work is superb along with the vocals. Only thing is the bass: can barley hear that, for a technicalexperimentalmathcore band and you can't even hear the bass, that's pretty sad to me.

Nah. Kezia is very good but this takes the cake. They matured a lot on this album.

kezia just has that rawness feel to it that this album doesnt

I've been going through a lot of the acclaimed albums from sputnik lately and am on this one. Right now I really don't get it. The song titles are pretty lame ("bloodmeat" and "bone marrow" - not sure if that's trying to be funny or serious). I've only listened to a few songs, but it's pretty cheesy and reminds me of Funeral for a Friend with heavier and more technical guitars - which isn't a good thing. I know some albums require you to listen differently. Someone steer me in the right direction with this one.

listen to Kezia first, it will be more your speed...and btw song titles don't matter and your "reminds me" is silly

yeah kezia is probably a better starting point. the song titles refer to the album's concept of goddesses. if you don't like them on first listen though, i don't see much to change your mind.

git on it. it's not as heavy or technical as this, but it's more fun imo.
