Gotta spin this soon. It's been a while

It's the Agalloch album that I picked up last and took the longest to grow on me (weird as I'm certain that it's the most immediate) but nowadays it's the albums I spin the most. The Mantle still rules all though

You heard that Hawks? Not Pale Folklore haha

John's guitar in that first verse of limbs (live) video sounds like an organ. What an incredible song

They played Limbs the one time i saw them live. The whole show felt like a spiritual experience. The vibe of that venue that night was indescribable.

Ashes/Marrow for me, idk if this is weird but I kind of like it better when we disagree, it was freaking me out for a while when were constantly in agreement (all are at least excellent btw).

Except for serpent... That one was not good by the band's standards.

I haven't listened to Serpent in a while, but it was weak in contrast to their first three for sure.

The pinnacle of Agalloch for me, Mantle is good but I fail to see the real spark in that one. Though I wasn't around at the time so I can't quite judge. Ashes though grew on me pretty quickly.
