Gotta side with Boney here. As great as the second half is, the first half is much stronger.

Second half much weaker agreed. Welcome to Bangkok is fine but 'untitled' is kind of useless, and Not the Sun is the albums weakest track.
Second half survives on the strength of Luca and Archers alone, though, and I also think Handcuffs is significantly better than most people.

I kinda agree tec, but then that Not the Sun bridge is bonkers and sometimes Luca is my favourite TDAG song

The story of this album cover is that the band found the photo and requested to use it for an album cover, the artist declined. BN then sent a demo of what the album would sound like and requested again. The artist agreed and here we are now celebrating it!

Yeah that bridge on Not the Sun is one of the best moments on the album, even though the song itself is mid tier for the album.

“Man I forgot how crazy frontloaded this is, back half is still great but the first six songs are all insanely good.”
Preach. The albums quality drops off a cliff after You Won’t Know. Luca and Not the Sun are still great tracks imo but the rest just aren’t anywhere near as good as the rest of the record.

I must be crazy then because the last 5 songs are the best part of the record for me.

I’ve never noticed any quality drop after the 1st half. I mean, after You Won’t Know which is a records centerpiece and its strongest moment (imo) you’re getting an amazingly powerful instrumental, an awesome rocker and Luca, which is the album’s highlight too. The untitled interlude is the only worthless moment on the record for me, it’s not necessary in any way. Archers is a great tune which is a much needed joyful moment which the record really benefits from at that point. And Handcuffs serves as a beautiful ending to the album. So, the only flaw in the 2nd half is an interlude, which is not a „quality drop” in my opinion. I think the least impactful moments on the album come near the beginning during Millstone and Jesus Christ. I mean, crucify me for that all you want but compring these two to the album’s centerpiece (Degausser, Limousine, You Won’t Know) I can’t get entertained as much as during these 3 amazing songs. Don’t get me wrong, they’re both 5/5 tracks still but just not as epic and meaningful
