This may not be my favourite dredg but the high chest note (A4 i think) in Of The Room is heavenly

Lol I had this at a 3 when I first heard it too. Im usually skeptical about the concept of growers (at least in the sense of going from indifferent or disliking a release to liking it) but El Cielo really does grow on you. Absolutely magical album.

I forgot how good Convalescent is as well. That hook is one that has lived in my head separate from anything else in the song/album, so when it came up again I was like "Is this a cover?"

Time to see if that 2.5 holds up. If I were judging this album on Canyon and Scissor Lock alone then this would be a 5

This album is half intense boredom & half great songs. Same Ol Road, Triangle, 18 Peeps, Scissor Lock, and (especially) Canyon are all really good, and everything else is just… yeah

This album has a vibe that I’ve never really found anywhere else. Perfect for long drives in the summer haze. Sanzen is perfection.
