Huge interest decline for me of anything post-Mothership witch jackpot juicer reaching a low low pit

New song is shit.

Man i cannot take that new singer seriously.

New song is meh. Mess is the only interesting thing about this band anymore.
Not stoked on Andrew taking over on lead vocals either, just sounds like he's doing his best Tilian impression. Ugh.

Band hasn't mattered since ArSe tbh :/

They should have just let Jon Mess be the full-time vocalist. Granted, that would cause them to fully lean into being silly but at least Jon is mostly funny. I find Andrew to be obnoxious.

For me DGD has done much for me after AS, but there has been a few songs here and there i have enjoyed. Needless to say im not a big fan on the Tilian era. I actually think Jackpot Juicer is maybe the second or third best of that era.
Interesting to see how long Andrew will last in DGD because i can imagine it will become hard for him to balance it with Eidola (which is probably his biggest passion?)
For me the biggest disappointment here is that it just feels like a new Tilian song without Tilian, and im almost certain the band said in interviews after Speed Demon and that other single that the new album would be "heavier"

"For me the biggest disappointment here is that it just feels like a new Tilian song without Tilian,"
Exactly. They've clearly settled into this style, its just a shame that all these songs are damn near identical to each other.

"The 13-track LP sees Dance Gavin Dance shift back towards the band's heavier, more experimental beginnings. Vocalist and guitarist Andrew Wells added: the intention of Pantheon was to build a certain tension, without a proper resolution" - (Arcamax)
hmm im highly skeptical after the single. As i said im sure i remember the band talking a lot of leaning towards a heavier sound and direction was also a factor they let Tilian go but who knows now lol

i feel like they've been saying "leaning back into the heavy style" for the last three album cycles, yet they still make noodly rnb-phxc with barely any teeth to it
shit band with mega stagnation. even jon mess to me at this point is sounding tiresome. they haven't been truly "heavy" since mothership and that album is almost a decade old at this point.
not that i care lol i've pretty much boycotted this band outside the odd track off of deathstar/happiness

That song kinda sucked lol, sounds like a leftover song they had laying around

They should have just made another Secret Band album. I couldn't care less about a new DGD album in 2025.

They picked the most boring option. Should have either went full secret band, brought back Jonny Craig for a final DBM III bang or got a new singer.

DBM III has been a dream of mine for sooo long. He has said hes down for it but it seems the other guys are going down a different route and at the same time he praised Andrew so some kudos to Johnny for seemingly being on the right path now
