"Still can't change the fact that 90% of the album is a 1 in terms of songwriting though."
Frantic is still great though
Also, fuck off with that "avoid the s/t" shit. Sucks when a band actually tries something new instead of regurgitated the same crap over and over again, right?

This isn't it at all. I like most of Ulver's discog and they pretty much change genres every album, so clearly I don't have a problem with bands changing things up. I just think that Metallica's S/T is mediocre.

S/T is good. Even Load is ok (and garage days revstd o/c). After that, Lars and Kirk stopped being musicians for good and band turned to crap.

It's hard to acknowledge that Lars was right.
The whole episode is pretty great.

I used to listen to him religiously, but I think I have Rogan fatigue now.
Neil is a funny one. He's often awesome, but then suddenly he does or tweets some stupid shit he thinks is profound. Oh well, I guess proper nerds work that way.
Also Cosmos is the perfect stoner documentary.

I mean Maynaard Keenan was also on but it wasn't as interesting as many interviews imo - Alex grey too if you're into that sort of thing. Hetfield was a fun, lighter episode - I dunno man, he has had on so many musicians, movie stars, philosophers, comedians, etc - I'm sure you can find someone you love that he interviewed
But yeah, for me it's those three I mentioned in the previous comment
