The interludes definitely improve the album, make it like a cinematic experience imo.

Yup. Like them here too. They're used well. They add to the album's cohesion I think.

One of the most underrated albums in the entire site.

The one-two punch this album opens with is filler laptop music into filler spoken word track. And there's like 4-5 other non-songs strewn about. Fuck this padded album. Most of the actual songs on this are legit good but the way they tried to make it all pretentious and cinematic is just classic post-prime LP disappearing up their collective asses and taking a huge huff. If they just cut out the pointless bullshit this would a 4.5 easy. And the saddest part is this was their last album of any consequence whatsoever and they tarnished it with sheer laziness.

I'm not bitter at all.

This one's certainly grown on me over time

Which isn't saying much, because I used to hate it

Artiswar, I disagree that this was their last album of consequence. The Hunting Party was awesome (and Living Things was alright, certainly not bad though).

Love Waiting for the End, Blackout and The Catalyst.

Living Things was pure fucking AIDS. And I really wanted to like The Hunting Party but I really didn't (at least that one felt like an honest effort though). Those are 3 of the best tracks on this, yeah Larkin. And Beardog, wtf do you like about the interludes exactly? They're so fucking shitty... I mean I guess they're technically better than Numb, Heavy or Battle Symphony so there's that :/

THP was like a pretty good attempt at making a more metal kind of ATS. And while it wasn't at good, it was pretty decent and showed that the band also has some technical profiency, Rob Bourdon especially can hold his own very well as a drummer

Yep. I actually really enjoy this album. A four might be somewhat high, but I still think it deserves it. An excellent poppy take on angsty teenage music.
