"do be honest I haven't jammed it since I started listening to 'better' music, it was my favourite album when I was 12, we've all been there. But as Kill said very eloquently "the title track rapes all these songs put together only a retard would disagree" and it appears I'm not a retard. The title track is great but the rest of the songs dont offer much"
Umm, what album(s) are you talking about?

way back when (yesterday), i was saying that they should try to put shit out quicker. someone mentioned tool bc they take forever as well. the difference is that tool is an immensely popular band with an extremely loyal fanbase. karnivool on the other hand have a few fanboys here and there, but they really aren't all that well known. putting more material out there would defintely help that. someone mentioned that they make their money touring, but how long are people gonna want to pay to see them play the same handful of songs? i'm sure they're perfectionists or whatever but i'm just saying it wasn't the smartest career move. i'm sure someone will come back and say something about how they don't care about their "career" that much and just want to make good music, and thats cool and all but they should maybe make some good music before their start using that defense.

I would rather lick a public toilet than hear this guy's voice ever again. This is very unlikeable, I can't even pronounce this band's name without sounding like an idiot. The cover artwork looks like a Windows 98 stock wallpaper or something and the excellent titles are wasted on songs that sound like Tool leftovers.

Emyay, Karnivool is very popular in Australia.
Also I don't think popularity gives Tool an excuse to bullshit their fans and take a decade to record an album.

"Also I don't think popularity gives Tool an excuse to bullshit their fans and take a decade to record
an album."
It should take a band at most a year to write an album, a few months to record, 2-3 months to
mix/master and then around 1-2 months of promotion.
Which leads to the fact of most bands releasing albums every 2 or so years. However, like I said, Ian
Kenny has his side project and Karnivool do a massive amount of touring as well.
4 years seems about right for this band. Tool's 8 year gap makes no sense though.

I agree. I'm not a Tool fan. Not because they take so long but because I don't like their music that much, but thats just me.

on a separate note... isn't proper verbiage:
Tool IS good, not Tool ARE good...?
Tool is a band, Tool is coming to town, Tool is boring
A band is a singular entity

Yes Tool takes forever to put out an album, but Maynard is really committed to his Puscifer project. It seems like he doesn't have time at the moment. He's passionate about it and all we could do it wait. Sure maybe they could have released an album by now, but that's up to them. Karnivool's stuff is great too so I'd rather an album be released four years after their latest than a year. That why it's not rushed at all. It really doesn't matter to me.
