Are you kidding? On A Plain is one of the best tracks on here, while Lounge Act and Stay Away equally kick ass.

In honor of its anniversary...

Anyone else call bullshit on the "smells like teen spirit" is a pixies song? I get the soft verse/loud chorus thing, but the feel of nirvana is very different from the pixies tongue in cheek song delivery. Even when Kurt was singing crazy things, he sounded serious. I get that Kurt admitted that is was pixies rip off, but if I had been around then and knew about both of them, I wouldn't have made that connection.

yeah their influence in general is overstated

he basically admitted to "ripping off" a lot of bands, nirvana were really self deprecating and eager to talk up the bands they liked but ppl latched on to the pixies as the be all end all
