I’m late to the party here but holy shit on a stick, this is awesome. Ambient Neurosis can stay. It probably beats out Souls as the most easily likeable first listen so far, I’m spinning it again straight away because it demanded this of me.

I’m the wrong person to be giving advice on this but Given to the Rising doesn’t reinvent the wheel but it’s a very solid album, guess others may like it more than me. The Word Is Law is interesting, unlike anything after it & is also a very solid album in its own right... the remaster sounds good. Just bear in mind it’s metallic hardcore not post/sludge metal.

Told you I was the wrong person to ask, GTTR is my 2nd least favourite Neurosis so far with the exception being The Word as Law. Solid 4 though, such is the strength of this band.
