imagine the absolute terror coursing through me before I listened to the next 3 tracks Jay. I didn’t even know who I was anymore. then Pop Off swiftly brought me back

I've heard about half of JJ in the car today and I gotta say Mess sounds good but also really stale lol

that stutter in Two Secret Weapons is awful, legitimately thought my PC froze up

LOL wtf is Parallel's. Other than that, this is better than Jackpot Juicer overall. Pleasantly surprised by the opener, just wished the rest of the album followed suit. I feel like these guys sound better with a more stripped back, less jokey approach. But maybe I'm listening to the wrong band for that haha.

This has been growing on me a lot since I first spun it. Definitely could see this grow to a 4.5 eventually

miley cyrus has more range, power, and feel to her voice and isn't a gigantic piece of shit. Tilian sounds so weak and airy.

He sounded overproduced on his debut but now he sounds like he doesn't drink water and desperately needs a glass.

I feel like these guys thrived off the revolving door chaos and have kind of tapered off after peaking on Mothership

i mean im pretty sure like 80%+ of the fans that were into this band from DBM thru Tilian joining have stopped listening at this point

I feel like the turbulent nature of having a revolving door of members kept the music fresh and inspired. Ever since they stagnated with that their music has largely followed suit

i fucking hate this band
new song was good -.-
creative differences with tilian my ASS, the cleans sound like they were MADE for him.
Mess doing more "clean" type stuff is actually pr cool. liked the flow of this track a lot tbh, thought the delayed chorus was nice. i went back to Synergy afterwards and the biggest difference to me was how much better the lead guitar work was there.

Yeah i was very disappointed by many aspects of the new song
I must be remembering wrong but i thought they said in interviews the new album and songs would be "heavier"?
The cleans are very mid. Ive seen clips of Andrew singing DBM songs live and pretty much nailing that so i had hopes for more powerful vocals and not 80s inspired or Tilian esque singing.
There were rumours that they had another album with Tilian almost finished before he got canned. Maybe the new songs are just those with Andrew on vox?
Luckily Mess and Swan and the rest always saves DGD from being a disaster even when the vox disappoints

New song just sounds like a direct continuation of what they were doing with Tilian, 100%. Not sold on Andrew's vocals, mix is also ass, no way this was done by Crummett.

thank you both for using the correct thread.

Pretty sure this is Crummet, but i may be wrong
The song titles didnt hype me at all either. Hoping for some songs with only Mess. that could be a saving grace

Don't think Jon does anything but scream on the new song. All the shit that sounds like alexisonfire Old Crows-era George vocals was Andrew. Song was fine though. I'm mostly done with this band because I've learned too much about the band members that makes me not want to support them so I'm not sure how excited I can get for new music.
