This album still sounds as fresh as it did the day it was released. I absolutely hated They're Only Chasing Safety so I was very surprised how good this was. I just recently bumped this up from a 4.5 to a 5 because it has stood the test of time.

who wrote the lyrics for which songs?

They just write the lyrics for the parts they sing.

Really? I think they were just as bad. Down, Set, Go being an example.

Down, Set, Go is probably my favorite Aaron song.
She's a maverick, she's so smooth
If things go according to playn
I'll have her finished by five A M

Honestly, I probably adore TOCS just about as much as I love this.
Personally feel like it's a severely underrated album. Just so many spine-tinglingly eargasmic moments & barely any genuine filler either if it's the kind of post-hardcore you've got a weakness for.
That's really why this is still teetering on the verge of being 5'd despite it's undeniable brilliance - cuz doing so would likely mean I'd have to 5 TOCS as well based on how much playtime certain songs get.
I'm actually one of those guys who only really got into Underoath much later though, due to some misguided prejudice that I held for a long time about their religious views & shit (despite being fully aware of their veritable acclaim & a few of their well-known songs getting playtime on my ipod for periods); so I guess maybe I'll have 'grown' out of it all in a few years as some might say...
But going off the fact that I'm still irrepressibly compelled to sing along to every single word of 'Reinventing Your Exit' whenever it comes on - I don't see that happening anytime soon to be honest.
Especially when I've already planned some ink inspired by the aforementioned song.
