If the album is weak instrumentally and vocally (I mean, this is okay from a vocal perspective, bland if anything), then who the fuck cares about lyrics? You can write the smartest/most relatable/most powerful/etc. shit ever, but if your band can't do anything besides cheap midwest emo ripoff tunes, then the album is still gonna be shite.
