I feel ya tempest. I've seen lots of people just saying like "yeah i dont see the appeal in this kind of mechanical hammering" etc. Im hard pressed to say i've never seen anyone with a Meshuggah album scored at a 2/2.5 going in depth in the band's ability/lack of ability regarding some musical aspect of the respective album.

My issue is that it seems like this is more about enjoying the concept rather than the music itself. I am not looking for a chaotic mechanical sound that is extremely repetitive just because that is the point. I am looking for enjoyable music. I don't want to pretend like I am connecting with how it is mechanical and shit to enjoy it somehow.
