>Jeez who is this miserable git?
we are all miserable but too ashamed to admit it because shit like these ranked lists and empowering the self instead of seeking the truth within the self becomes a norm and once we are desensitized to it it becomes a routine. im more than certain hicks would have had the same approach so pick a different avatar, im throwing it out there but to me you seem like the larry the cable guy sorta guy

You definitely fit into this site for sure. Feel right at home.

im not trying to debate with you just curious on why you felt obligated to negate what i said instead of actually displaying some sort of back story on why you have a man who would slap you in the face if he was alive right now as an avatar

Hey, you listened to it. That’s all that counts. Plenty of people who’d love them have no idea they exist.

I don't listen to this album as often as I did 5 years ago, but every time I do I'm reminded why it's my favorite album.

I'm really glad I checked out this album, my first of this band. I don't like Cult Of Luna, but other than them I like post-metal and how atmospheric it often can be. I'm always highly interested in modern kinds of metal music.
I already feel this album after one listen, I know it will even get better with multiple listens. I think it's a fitting time of the year for this album as it's cold outside.
And no I don't feel it's too long, I rather think the 7 songs NEED to be very long to be able to unfold beautifullly.
"or maybe people should just stop trying to glorify music they like and make it appear better than it really is, this isnt a drum circle"
Well I see it the other way, I'm always thankful for every great album I discover, to me music is like a miracle, movies and tv series can get old and boring at some point if they get rewatched multiple times, it is NEVER the case for me with music. I can listen to an album hundreds of times and it might never get slightly boring.

their post 2000 stuff is obviously amazing but I hate how they overshadow mosquito control and red sea. both are some of the best 90s sludge ever. they riff SO HARD

Yeah, I might be in the minority, but I think FWIW both Mosquito Control & Red Sea are amazing. Jay Randall (Agoraphobic Nosebleed) was in the band for the latter on electronics & backing vocals and IDK if his contribution was a factor, but the EP's probably some of their darkest, slammiest material ever and I think even Turner concurs too.

it's incredible, I only know this album (and the band) for 6 days but how it unfolded it's phenomenal. I'm looking forward to see where this album will be in my list of discovered albums in 2019.
Every of the 7 songs has at least 2-3 sections that are overwhelming, and "Backlit" might even already be one of my all time favourite songs in my music world, but with the others close behind.

Interesting, Backlit would be my least favourite here. Still a great song of course, and an amazing album.
