MMLP2 > MMLP
even Em himself knows that's false. might wanna stay retired lambchop as ur clearly senile at this point
|

If the MMLP2 were better than this, it wouldn't be called the MMLP2. It would be called something else. The only reason he decided it was the sequel to this is because he knows this is, and always will be his best album. By making his new album the "sequel" to this, he knew he would get everybody hyped and insisting that it was a return to form. Then some people fell for it. And I've got hip hop in my chart, so bitch don't even trip.

every rapper that doesn't get killed in his prime usually releases some wack shit towards the end
rapping is not an old man's game. these fools stay thirsty tho
|

Every track on this album is a made up stories about him killing people.
Hmmm
Stan
The Way I Am
Marshall Mathers
The Real Slim Shady
Under the Influence
Bitch Please II (Except for his last line that he threw in)
etc
in conclusion stay retired

I don't know if I agree, but I don't have any evidence to the the contrary, Dun. So that might be one of those harsh as fuck truths. Some say that it's true for all arts, that "It's better to burn out to fade away", but I can think of at least a few exceptions to that. But, none for hip hop really. That sucks.

it's not harsh at all i don't think. and i also wouldn't go so far as to say it applies to all arts. mainly just hip hop.
i don't wanna hear old nigs rapping about how their gats get swallowed up by their depends every time they
step off their rascal scooter

2001 by Dr dre was good, before he sacked it off. Not his best, sure, but it was still good.

dre would've been about 35 in 1999 when 2001 was dropped. that's not quite old man status. i mean Kanye is 35 right now but yeah he may have peaked at dark fantasy
also, i would argue that Dre might be wrestling with the notion that he might fvk up his legacy with detox sucking so hard hence overthinking it to the point where it may not even get released

"Every track on this album is a made up stories about him killing people."
'The Way I Am', 'Stan', and 'Marshall Mathers'. And even if this was JUST about killing people, at least the beats are consistently great, even for the songs I don't enjoy('Kim' particularly, it still is too uncomfortable for me) I still can credit and respect. I have no respect for 'Survival' and 'Won't Back Down' mostly because those 2 songs are blatant copies of past Eminem songs, specifically 'Echo'(which I already stated previously was terrible) and 'Won't Back Down'(Em already made 'Hallie's Song' he should've given it a break). At most MMLP2 is a 4, but not superior to this.
