yeah, it's no different to the production choices of lateralus and 10k days. I think the only difference is the drums have more of a focus here

I don’t know brother. Fear is my second favorite right now, but there are more than three things stopping it from Dethroning Lateralus IMO

He uses a couple of wah pedals, keeps time with Danny Carey and plays one decent solo on 7empest. solo on descending is a definite highlight, but I thought he was pretty good here. largely reserved as always, but when you get to the likes of that hammer on part in "7empest" it stands out a lot more to me.

I did shrooms at a festival last weekend and the guy who gave them to me got busted right as we put them in our mouths. Set a real bad vibe for the trip right away, i had a bad trip for like an hour and a half.

I tried (unsuccessfully) to do a 20buck spin new releases tour only yesterday...and yeah, checked Russian Circles today...

I guess I'm into boring music now...on this again now, right after RC and just put Waste of Space Orchestra in the line right after this lol (also a returning listen since its release).

As far as this is concerned, I'm not sure it's necessarily overproduced but the guitar tone is absolute ass, I think someone said 'cat in a blender' (or something to that effect) and it was quite an apt description.
