They're definitely not the band's finest work, I'll say that much.

Why does Spencer sound like someone is pinching his nose when he sings

That's always been my problem with Aaron, not so much with Spencer. I think he finally figured it out around LITSOS and then lost it in the process, on here he sounds pretty fucking nasal.

l always liked Aaron's voice, Spencer crushes the screams but l am meh on his cleans

I prefer Spencer's cleans to Aaron's, I like them both tho

I’ve always dug Spencer’s cleans.

Yeah, that's why we're Disambig gang m/

Spencer's cleans destroy on Disambiguation, they're lacking a bit here

Aaron does well enough, but it was definitely difficult to take at first since his whine got a bit grating compared to others.

Yes agent boyo
Also agreed calm, they fall flat here and lack a lot of the strength they had before. Listening to Sunburnt's chorus and then coming to any song on here is such a downgrade

I am just a DTGL fanboy for life

nothing wrong with that, the chemistry between Spencer and Aaron on that album is perfect

Album Rating: 3.5
DTGL is great and a hard 5, but that's mostly for its longer songs. Casting Such a Thin Shadow, To Whom It May Concern, etc. I love that. LITSOS I feel didn't utilize it as much but did it better, and Disambig is just pure ear sex.

As far as this album goes, there's really only three or four songs preventing me from giving it a 4.5.

The whole album prevents me from doing that

Just checked out Aaron's other band The Almost now, not sure why it took so long. l would've loved this back in the day.

Nice one. But yeah On My Teeth, Rapture, Wake Me, and maybe ihateit to an extent are the album's achilles heel. More songs like In Motion and Hold Your Breath and this would be a 4.5 for me, ez. I don't think I'd want a second No Frame as much as I love that track though.

On My Teeth is the only song I ever revisit on this

Honestly, I didn't have high hopes when the singles dropped, but I was pleasantly surprised by some of the deep cuts.
