Ah right I see the ref to it being long now, yeah I’m guessing they didn’t actually say that, surely not right?

It’s virtually unlistenable to me but the length is irrelevant...

Black Rose Immortal is 20 mins. Closer to the Edge is 18. Black Lake by Agalloch is long af (can’t remember exactly). Stella by Kashiwa Daisuke is a masterpiece at 30 mins. I could go on but presumably no-one cares so I’ll stop.

I enjoy Crimson as well, although I do think it’s a tad overrated. Persephone’s Core is technically just 3 tracks at 70 mins, they just divide it up into ‘sections’, that’s one of my favourite albums.

This sounds like a cool list idea, although I reckon it must’ve been done.

Crimson is overrated, especially for a year like '96.

And Green Carnation's Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness is a 60 min song which is awesome from start to finish.

Any comparisons that can be made to Edge of Sanity are rather difficult considering that Opeth is far more stylistically cohesive.

I'd say that Crimson is more disjointed and one-note than people are willing to admit. It's still decent but not something I listen to regularly.
