"Can we stop talking about some guys ability to listen to hip hop and instead talk about how brilliant How Much A Dollar Cost is"

still wondering how taking a story thats been done before is brilliant

then again, GKMC was done a million times before, and yall still think thats brilliant, so apparently originality means nothing

How is the story having been done before even relevant to someone saying the song's brilliant?

Obviously something can still be brilliant even if it's not at all original.

I haven't heard a song about shitting in shoes as symbolism for the deterioration of capitalism.

brilliant implies that it is clever

taking an old story is not very clever

ever consider that when people call it brilliant they aren't referring to the story? there is more to a song than that

the sampling on that song is indeed brilliant tbh, undeniably.

Lambs thinks everyone likes this simply because they think that "the story" is revolutionary or something when really no one here thinks that and are just laughing at him for prattling on and on about how he also doesn't think that.

This album has a revolutionary story and is the only hip hop album I can listen to ever.

not convinced a simple drum sample and a looped distorted trumpet going waaaa wwaaaaaa waaaaaaah is brilliant

the drums and the trumpet aren't the sample tho so clearly you have no idea what you are talking about for one and for two its the clever use of the sample and added live instruments that make it brilliant but obviously you are too busy being butthurt about the story for the last 4 months to even consider anything else about it with an open mind

the peanut butter and the jelly aren't the bread tho so clearly you have no idea what you are talking about for one and for two its the clever use of the bread and the peanut butter and the jelly that make it brilliant but obviously you are too busy being butthurt about the salad for the last 4 minutes to even consider anything else about your meal with an open mind
