It's iconic and Meteora is not better.

I prefer the tracks personally but I'm also not a huge nu metal or LP fan in general

They're very close for me but this came first and has the more iconic tracks. Basically two sides of the same coin though

I like this more but it feels like this band reached its logical endpoint with Faint. That is their little “rap verse with the emotional alt rock chorus” formula perfected and probably their best song.

Ya I think it might be mine too. As much as I’d like to be cool and choose a deeper cut from them but Faint is pretty perfect

Faint is indeed the slapethest. Or one of them. I love Hybrid Theory too, but Meteora was what was on repeat when I was an angsty teen so it has a slight edge.

Linkin saw the Faint they had made, and it was very good.

I think my favorite of that style is Lying From You, maybe A Place for My Head

I sound like a broken record but Forgotten is a lost art to this band. Truly a one off track. Even Meteora didn't have anything close except *maybe* Somewhere I Belong/Faint. The perfect blend of hip-hop/rap and nu-metal. Like idk if that's Rob doing the really tasteful and jazzy snare rolls and high-hat rolls in Mike's verses or a sample of some kind, but coupled with the clean guitar it's just such a transporting song.

Meteora has my two favorite songs but I think Hybrid Theory is my fave overall. Kinda seems like one of those bands where it's all about where the nostalgia hits the hardest

I agree with that assessment. Meteora has some pretty high highs but this is more consistent

HT supremacists of Sput unite!

Meteora's good, just not as sharp as this. Don't Stay and others are jams for years.

I think The Shield used a P.O.D. song in one of the episodes

The Shield had so many shitty songs that perfectly fit the attitude of gung ho dumbasses that would wanna be in something like the strike team. fuckin kid rock is playing during the most pivotal moment in the pilot lmao
