i first heard the pixies while playing rock band, they had the track wave of mutilation on there and it dissuaded me from checking them out for years. it's not a bad song, it's just unremarkable in every way compared to nearly every other song here.

Back-tracking a little here but I’m surprised about the Fight Club thing, Pixies were fairly prominent on the music channels I used to watch, so that’s where my awareness of them came from.



Thinking about it they must not have had much of an initial impact on me considering I only bothered checking this/Surfer Rosa for the first time today.
