Oh, was there a sneaky ghost edit in there? My first click looked very different, but I can't quite place why.

I did zaru, I thought it was super interesting; even though I've always used the album as musical escapism, to have it confirmed that that was the original intention and that it's essentially Dev grappling with the transition from youth into adulthood, wanting to run away but inevitably having to crash back down to earth when confronted with death, depression etc. (Funeral, Bastard, TDOM...), it makes so much sense why it resonates with me so much, and especially at the time I found it as a teenager.

Although I like the cover and it's become iconic, I always thought it would have looked better as just the expanse of sea - no head, no writing - so to have Dev confirm that was his original wish and that it was the label who made him change it... wow, it's like everything I've ever thought about this album was confirmed by the man himself. The explanation behind Voices in the Fan was also super cool and made the song all the more magical. Gosh, this is an amazing album.

I've heard a lot of artist walk-throughs/explanations of some of my favourite songs/albums, and they nearly always disappoint me in being about something completely different to what I'd built them up to be in my head. If anything that podcast gave me a renewed appreciation of this timeless masterpiece and I can't wait until the next time I dive into it.

Now I'm curious what the other two are. This one and...? Surely not Terria...

That's okay, I can see why people might not vibe with it

To me it's complete perfection - I would not change a single thing about it and I don't think I could say that for any other album I've ever heard
