I can't see how this would merit a 1 unless you're doing it purely out of spite.

not sure how i'd feel if i heard this for the first time in 2017 at age 31. this kind of music is exceptionally dated, even if they pioneered it.

True. It's nostalgic. I want to jump on a skateboard every time i hear Bombtrack. Can't dissociate from that bias

I don't think this is dated at all. You still got songs being written about fighting systems and all that stuff even today.

the vibe is dated. this was anthemic in the 90s though you really cant deny it.

i'm just referring to the style of music. listening to this for the first time today might be akin to trying out 80s hair metal in 2007. i have no real way of knowing because i grew up on this shit.

I guess. I still think it's cool though.

@Satellite did you see the video all over reddit a couple weeks back of the rap fan's first time hearing Rage Against the Machine? Call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure this album is era-independant.

I disagree. I started listening to this album around 2014 or so, and it felt timeless from the very first listen. It didn't feel like anything that evoked just one certain era of music imo
