All I’m saying is that in the digital age we live in I can’t see how a single song can impact an otherwise good/fine album to the point of making someone hate/completely dismiss it. I just feel like that isn’t a healthy way of listening to music

Umh, Revolution 9 is intended to be musical. In fact, it is.
|

nevertheless it's 100% intended to be an anomaly.

Mmmmmmmmmmm... Gonna edit my previous comment since I don't actually hate Revolution 9, a bit of a strong word. Anyway, I don't really understand your comment, like, if I did that then even an album with 100 pieces where only one is good should receive a good rating because you can skip the other 99.

Well say for fitter happier the general aesthetic of the more abstract song fits with the paranoid aspect to that album. But for the white album I get less connections than what my apollonian ideals would prefer.

I’m sure it’s not hard to figure out the difference between that scenario and the situation I laid out in my comment
|

Yes, I do. All I'm saying is that the fact that I can skip/ignore something doesn't mean that I have (or want) to not consider the parts I don't like of an album.
