So I was actually a PTH fan before they were even on the radar here on Sputnik and loved Kezia when it came out, but there is something still missing with this album to me. It is in no means bad but it certainly left me wanting more to say the least, and it still hasn't struck me as the masterpiece as everyone here claims. Still a good album but I still wish this would click for me! Certain songs are great (and I stress that there isn't anything bad here) but maybe I've just found better things..?

One word can sum up this album....Oh wait! That's not possible. Words such as amazing and unbelievable fall short.

Favorite parts: Circus-style 2bar madness of the 2nd half of Palms Read and Ceci the Cat's BEAUTIFUL input into "Wretch." It's inspired me into doing an assignment on mic'ing up cats...lets see how that goes! Only thing with Protest is how they show you an amazing riff or solo then take it away in a couple bars. Slightly annoying, but due to the ease of use of the little rewind reel on the Ipod- not as much of a problem as it should be. I'm beginning to agree, this album is better than Kezia...let me listen to them both another 10,000 times and I'll get back to you.

So you'd rather have them repeat the riffs several times? I guess I'm misreading your statement but I think any of the riffs on this get ample attention.

I think the lyrics and concept on Kezia are what make it classic as opposed to just really really good. Both albums have their positives and negatives when compared to each other, obviously.

To be honest I only really mean one riff, and thats only for selfishness more than anything else.
I'm nitpicking, I spose if they were to repeat them all we'd get extremely long songs and not gain alot to the musical arrangement!
