What's the likelihood their next album sounds like this one seeing as how they're basically only playing these tracks?

I don't think I ever heard The New Game but I remember actually enjoying st when it came out. Haven't revisited it since then though so it might have just caught me at the right time tbh. Was never a big fan of them outside of this album. I also enjoyed the demo compilation or whatever that release with the red lifeline cover was

i've been jamming this recently and i dunno, i'd like to think they would pull something out like this again, just because of how long they were on hiatus. or is that a fool's hope? lol

"Idk how they managed to be so outlandish with songwriting and rhythm, yet kept it catchy and accessible at the same time. It's like they somehow perfected the formula. It's absolute genius."
Mudvayne took some kind of inverse career path. Putting out their best album right away, then trending down.

Those bands are always sad to see
They were once the best in the scene, making great music and staying relevant to the people
And then it comes crashing down like a stack of bricks
Also, the lead singer looks like shit now

I was browsing youtube and saw the thumbnail and thought it was just a visual error but Chad has gained so much weight and legit sounds fucking AWFULLLLL! On top of that, I wish I was joking but he sounds like Violent J trying to lead a metal group...it's horrendous

I honestly think Chad sounds pretty good here. I'm five songs in and this sounds like the other live performances I've heard from him, which is to say he's never been able to replicate a lot of these vocals perfectly live and that's okay with me

Yeah he’s going ham.

Don't dismiss their drummer. Ryan and Matt carried Mudvayne as the rhythm section. But yeah, they were both too good for Mudvayne.

Agreed, Matt is a great drummer

Lets not pretend that Chad wasn't a fucking maniac on this album. As good as everyone else is, his performance is untouchable, and maybe the single greatest 'lightning in a bottle' moment in metal history. No chance he could reproduce this in a live setting for long, let alone in his fifties.
That said - saw him last summer and was pleasantly surprised how good he sounded in the live setting.

Chad gives it 110% every night and for that I have the utmost respect. I also saw 'em last summer and he honestly sounded great. I'm super curious to see how they'll sound in this modern era. Ryan's playing has never been better so I think there's a solid chance it'll be awesome.
