the fluffy dream pop is essential to this album tho

Yeh it all plays its part. Doesnt mean i dont skip over it if i cbf with listening as a whole. Sure, for a 6 hour road trip by myself, the whole 3 discs are spun without interruption.

2 discs.....

yeah fair I was mostly disagreeing with guest lol
I'll skip the shit tunes for sure (Love and We Only Come at Night and Beautiful are all blegh) but they're like 5% of the whole thing

Love is probably the only throwaway track here imo. I still can't think of another double album that's so consistently amazing

Are you kidding me? "Love" is a classic.

Yeh love is awesome. Twice I have jammed the whole double disk front to back whilst drivin and at work over the last 2 days. Its fucked up how consistently good this is

Love is pretty awesome tbh, "Scorched Earth" is just plain ugly

Love is still a good song (I don't think there are any bad songs on this album), but it does slightly kill the flow of that first disc for me when it comes on. Again, though, not a bad track. That distorted solo is pretty cool; kinda reminds me of the solo on Where We Would Be by Porcupine Tree
Tales of a Scorched Earth is one of my favorite metal songs here, lol

Theyre all good songs. Its fkd

The ending of XYU may be the most headbang-inducing riff ever made
