Every time I jam this album I'm blown away. This is the best this band has ever sounded musically with their most experimental tracks of their career, and dear G-d the lyrics. It's like a mixture of CFUTF and Pale Horses lyrically. No other album had a chance to be my AOTY when this was released.

I feel I gotta let it settle and let the recency bias wear off before I'm able to declare that, espeially with B/S being my favorite album of all time. I can see this taking the mantle with time though.

B,S the songwriting is a little bit tighter and the lyrics more relatable/down-to-earth, here the passion is less articulate but more palpable and ugly
