The first minute of Dust Swirls is pretty much guaranteed to be skipped from me. Rest of the song is fine though.

I agree, Hairpin is a classic National tune.

In a world without The Indigo Girls this is what Starbucks uses to lull customers into buying extra caffeine shots to shake those heavy eyelids

Yeah Dust Swirls I didn't love but they redeem that song in the second half imo.

In time, Rylan could turn into a top 10 Natty song.

Could end up a song of the decade candidate for me, if only cause its been popping up in different versions since 2011 and has floored me every single time.

Studio version could possibly be the best version with that incredible bridge

it's a great album. i daresay a little homogeneous, but i'm liking it FAR more than this.

I seem to be in a minority that thought SWB was brilliant, but I can see how people would have found it monotonous or undercooked. The title track is mindblowing for me in particular, maybe their most depressing tune ever ....

I love the t/t here so so much, everyone seems to hate it

SWB is brilliant. Songs like Dark Side of the Gym, Nobody Else Will Be There, Empire Line, I'll Still Destroy You, Guilty Party and the title track are all amazing.

Title track being a highlight because of how abstract and dark it is.

I love Quiet Light, but it feels more like a Sleep Well Beast track. If it was the second track here replacing Day I Die, I think the record would be almost perfect

I remember the live version of Day I Die they were playing in 2016 used to have this amazing Explosions in the Sky style guitar section that would erupt after the 'come outside and leave with me' bit. It was so damn good and I think hearing that song spoiled the more subdued record version.

yeah I like all the studio versions way more than Eaux Claires ones from last year tbh. the only one that's changed in a way people might not like is The Pull of You but I love how it turned out

SWB is incredible. I wish the new one had something as abstract as the t/t
