I don't do 5s. There is literally nothing that is ever a "classic" for me.

That being said, this album would be one with the strongest cases of being a classic.

"my taste is so super special that nothing on this earth can reach it's limits. It transcends all current music and is unlikely to ever be achieved mankind"

No, I'm just a very Nietzschean German who doesn't like things enough/for a long enough period of time. Or in other words: Classic for me means that an album is an album that one can always return to, i.e. stands the test of time with no diminishing listening experience over a given period of time. That already rules out a lot of albums that have come out in the past 2-3 years because that's not a long enough timeframe for me to determine whether it's classic or not. Then subtract all the albums that I haven't known about for that long. And then it needs to be an album that I can always come back to with no diminishing listening experience.

Add to that that my music taste rotates with the seasons and whatever I'll feel like is as reliable as the weather. So there's not a lot of albums that would even get into consideration of that territory.

"that's kind of sad honestly :/"

Idk, I don't feel sad about it. That also means there's a lot of great material out there.

"at least 5 your no.1 album dude"

Given the above explanation, do you think sth. like that even exists for me? Spoiler: It doesn't.

"If nothing is a personal classic your listening incorrectly."

Look out for that edge, you might cut yourself. See above for reasons and shit.

Death is pretty much one of the few bands that are actually in the consideration territory, particularly this LP. SO WHO KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN. Maybe this album becomes a 5 during winter.

There must be an album that absolutely floored you whether it be on your first or fiftieth listen?

The moment in a song where you think, 'if this were to go like this now I'd love it' but it does something else entirely and is better than you could've imagined.

The whole album is a ride, when it peaks you know it's something special, when it ends 'something' changes.

In all honesty I've probably heard a couple of them ones and should therefore only 5 a handful of records but I'll be fucked if me other 5s are anything other than personal classics.

Actually, now that I'm thinking of it this and TSoP belong to few albums that I've been listening to for ~5-7 years and still come back to.

Yes, but while that is a good indicator it's not sufficient criteria for me.

"The whole album is a ride, when it peaks you know it's something special, when it ends 'something' changes."

Not sure I understand what you're getting at with the second half of that sentence.

"In all honesty I've probably heard a couple of them ones and should therefore only 5 a handful of records but I'll be fucked if me other 5s are anything other than personal classics."

Again, not sure what you're trying to get at with this.
