I'm their biggest fan and I've heard OK Computer which is a masterpiece in the modern time but what is this?
I haven't heard this album but it is clear that it is the worst album of all time judging the album length, title and cover. Even
the song names are insipid, unimaginative and utterly uninspired. I don't care about the music if the song titles don't hold my
interest at all.
It is disappointing how legendary bands sell out. First was Opeth with Deliverance, Neurosis with Souls at Zero and now this.
Radiohead why?

It's a pretentious mess, sorry.
If that makes me sound dumb, be it, couldn't care less for your opinion, and I'm sure you feel the same.
Having said that, I agree that RH (as well as any other artist) should create the music they want to. Good for them. But just because they're "being themselves", it doesn't mean I will like their music. This is the only RH album I really do not enjoy.

Using sound effects and musical machinery just for the sake of sounding "modern" or "avant-garde" is quite pretentious (and that's obviously the case here), especially when the music writing is substandard - song-wise, this pales in comparison to any other RH album, let alone in terms of musicianship.
But hell, what do I know, don't let me spoil it for you.

actually i find this the least bleep-bloopy radiohead record since OK Computer. Watching the basement sessions of this, you can see how organic all the songs actually are. Compare that to "Pulk/Pull" or "Like Spinning Plates" or "Videotape" or "Kid A". Not to say you can't like it, but saying you don't because of "pretentiousness," which you equate to using studio tricks in an attempt to sound "avant-garde," is a pretty weak reason as to why when this is one of their most straightforward albums.

In Rainbows was a little less bleep-bloopy, in my opinion. But I reiterate that these two records are very similar in that they're both very, very organic. I fucking hate that word.

"maybe they just like the way it sounds retard."
Yeah, the music does sound a bit "retard".

poor guy, cant tell the difference between "retard" and "retarded." how ironic.

I can, actually. Hence the quotes on that word.
Insulting people you don't know through the Internet because of their taste in music is rather
asinine, though, wouldn't you say? Just like saying people don't like an album because the music is
strange or experimental. I assure you I enjoy music which is both.
