I was watching a review of the new album and they mentioned they had been fans since TSIB, and I remember thinking of myself as a newish fan by comparison, but then I thought about it and Given to the Rising was their latest album when I got into them, so it's been nearly twenty fucking years. Time flies.

Saw them live at Hellfest in 2008 - incredible atmosphere. As soon as they opened up, literally, the majority of the crowd lit up a humongous amount of tspliffs.
One of the best performances I've ever seen.

I saw them in Minneapolis sometime after Honor Found in Decay but before Fires Within Fires, it's the one time I got to see them live. I bought one of their t-shirts which I still have. When the whole Scott thing came to light I almost got rid of it. I think I would have regretted that.
