@p4p: Instrumentals were nice when I could distinguish them yeah.
Also Deafheaven was pretty cool.

At least you gave it a shot, I think the production suits it but I did give you a rec from the very style you hate so couldnt really expect much more

Any Dimmu Borgir fans here, since the conversation is in that general realm of music.

Yeah really solid band, Puritanical Erotica or whatever is my favorite of theirs which is an unpopular opinion but all their stuff up until the mid 2000s is good

I've actually only jammed their most recent album and I really dug that, so I wanted some album recs since they have a somewhat sizable discography.

enthrone darkness, pure erotic and death cult Armageddon are the next ones I would check out if I were you and don't worry the production on them is the opposite of Lo fi but it works well for them

Their newest album is garbage snide. Jam enthrone darkness and puritanical and forget their last 2-3.

Anyone hear about a possible Moonrabbit reunion and potential tour? One can dream (if it ain't true)

Thousands of make up bottles were smashed on the floor when they announced that it wasn't a reunion.

I, like dozens others, think that their last effort, 2010's, The Back Bridge Burn Maze, was their best effort since 2002's, Clouded Crowd. Lot of beautiful cuts on that Back Bridge record. I swear, I soaked it 11 times before I really felt the parasiveness and beauty. Soak on.
