I’m probably going to bump this up to a 4 soon. I think I’m finally over the “this isn’t as good as In Rainbows” disappointment I had when it first came out. I’m starting to realize how great of an album this is.

It is for me... I really can't stand the excess of synthetized sounds and vocal effects. I can't

listen to this, maybe except for "Lotus Flower", and that one is also lacking.

Yeah I don't think the album was pretentious at all. They put out something that sounded different that they enjoyed and well...it wasn't received by their fan base as well as their previous efforts.
