Yeah, it's fairly complex guitar music, with pretty out there drumming and such, but it always feels natural and "for the song" as it were. Like they never do much shred or noodling shit, it's more about the chord progressions, melodies, textures and atmosphere. I LOVE that in metal so much. Those overtly tech bands with 3 million 16th notes in a 4 minute song just can't compare.

I looked at pretty much all of their available guitar tablature and they have next to none, save for Malign Paradigm on Si Monvmentvm. Nothing wrong with a fat, stable, meaty power chord, but goddamn, I love all those jazzy, atypical extended harmonies they touch on in so much of their stuff. Power chords visit every now and then, but I wouldn't change a damn thing about the guitars in every record since 2004. They're chord chemists like Ted Greene lol. Just of a much more volatile nature.

I mean, are any of these propositions about a female (or whoever) figure disturbing? Maybe my mind is in the gutter from the "Huge Tits" list. But idk, I know there are definitely people (mostly dudes) who intend violence with such observations, but I only mean it in terms of artistic appreciation. Like women are beautiful, but you should absolutely respect/understand them as humans first and be grateful for anything else in addition.
