Album Rating: 4.5
Now, I am not upset by a low score by any means. But can you actually explain it past being contrarian?
|
| |
I'm just gonna copypaste what I already said: The end is bullshit. No, not Motion Picture Soundtrack, that one is great, I mean what happens after that, like, why would they do that? Silence, then a shitty hidden track, then more silence? That's just bullshit. If that stuff didn't exist I'd give this a good rating.

Define "good rating"
|

Album Rating: 4.5
Like, yeah that's annoying. But I think it's a little childish to discount the entirety of the album, because of a hidden bonus track. Most albums from this time period had those, and were eventually eliminated from subsequent releases.

Album Rating: 5.0
All the silence is pointless but Motion Picture Soundtrack and the untitled outro are both amazing.
|
| |
3.0. "Good" rating.

If there's a release of this album that eliminates that, let me know. And yes I know a lot of albums in the 1990s/early 2000s did it, I don't care.

this is the most pedantic snowflake thing i've ever read

"Everything online"
Online? Like streams or something? I haven't listened to this one in Spotify or similar sites, only a download from some random site and my own CD.
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
Yeah, that's most likely because blogspot downloads are rips directly from the CD.
Streaming eliminates that problem. But if you were to download so you don't have to listen to it you'd have to youtube rip or buy it outright.

If you absolutely love 9/10 full songs on the album and hate 1 song, but still give it, say, 3/3.5, that says to me that you don't understand how the scoring system works.
... That isn't what I do either.
Makes perfect sense. Did you fail to graduate from high school because you spent too much time watching harem anime or something
|
| |
Uh, I never bothered with streaming because, well, I already had a download and I bought a CD like a year ago. Guess I'll listen to the album again and (most likely) change my rating.
|
| |
Firedust, I'm done with that discussion, believe what you want, I don't care. And I've never watched a harem anime btw.

"3.0. "Good" rating."
lol you do you my dude but bumping an album down a whole point for one small thing is pretty silly IMO
|
| |
Oh, believe me, it wasn't just one whole point, it was much more than that (but the average didn't let me, you know how this works). But, I do that with every album that does something like that "small thing" (and again, I understand that you think it is silly), probably the one that hurts me the most is Ulver's Themes from William Blake's The Marriage of Heaven and Hell.
