Early Grave and Follow the Water. Man...I wish they would do something in this style again. This album just has all the unskippable jams.

Early Grave is one of the best intro tracks of all time

Agreed, kinda makes the album repeatable. It’s so easy to do back to back listens on this thing front to back. Especially on road trips, it just bangs.

Imagine being able to do that live without taking off every other line like he does. Is it possible?

Slaps hard as hell my dudes. Really wish they would do this again instead of doing the same sound 3 straight albums. I need them to do something more interesting next time around. They played it way too safe with Holy Hell.

Wish they'd go back to the chaotic style of the first two albums but nah. They'll just keep rehashing the same riffs into different songs.

The newer songs sound fucking HUGE live though, so i'll give them that. I saw them with Counterparts (who sounded fucking great) last year and they played a lot of songs from All Our Gods...it was one of the best shows I've ever been to. Sam sounded incredible and even dropped some of his crazy lows that he does live. Somehow they never make it into an album, it's bullshit.

Even LF//LT had some brief moments of lower screams and they were awesome. He should do more of them

Sam's lows are prevalent on Ruin, their best album coincidentally.

This slaps hard too though, Dethroned is a facemelter.

He booms those fuckers out live though. They're loud and powerful, it's great. But he doesn't ever use them in the records and it bums me out.

He's got some of my favorite vocals but I wish he would use them differently. I'm sure part of that is just the sound they've been stuck in, but still no reason he couldn't throw in some lows for variety. The superpower Sam yell is awesome but it gets samey and a little boring after 3 records straight.

He's a monster live, went through a rough patch from THAN-Daybreaker but he's in the form of his life at the minute.

Agreed. And he does it effortlessly. It's strange to see someone smiling on stage while also letting out those insane screams.

It doesn't look effortless imo, his face gets pretty tight all the time, but he's a monster agreed

Every time I've seen them he makes it look easy, weirds me out.
