New one won't be better than this but if it combines Tom and Mark's sounds in a fun and dynamic way (unlike Neighborhoods) then it'll be a win for everyone. I think they're on that path based on the singles. They all already sound better than anything on that last reunion album.

Yeah I've grown to love Neighborhoods as an album but it's pretty clear they weren't all that cohesive when recording it

I only know Feeling This off this album, and it's catchy as Hell. Should probably check the rest of it out at some point

They were on top of the world when this dropped. Their singles were being played 24/7 everywhere, and they really pushed their sound forward on here. Then they just crapped the bed and Tom left and went kind of crazy and everything fell apart. I never really understood what really happened. They should have just kept pushing forward organically in this vein but oh well. I never liked this band before this but some songs on this are pretty impressive, like, Obvious is way too good to be a Blink song imo.

I think it was just a classic case of artistic differences. These had been together since they were kids and my take is that Mark and Travis were happy to keep making pop punk forever but Tom became desperate to be taken seriously as an artist.

this was by far them at their most serious. More emo than tongue-in-cheek pop-punk. They were already going in that direction. Why they changed is beyond me, it's just weird. But it's ok I never liked this band I only enjoyed this 1 album

Def the best blink, but People calling this the best pop punk is comparable to calling hersheys the best chocolate

"comparable to calling hersheys the best chocolate"
In the UK we don't have easy access to Hershey's, so I personally do absolutely adore it in small doses, but this still made me chuckle
