'just nuke the last couple of pages'
Please don't, we're almost at the promised land of 100 pages.
As for this;
'agreed but i think this absolutely goes the other way too... like people who "grew out of" avenged sevenfold is a perfect example. while radiohead, tool, etc. have that heightened sense of "superiority" attached to them... these guys have the exact opposite association in places like this
these dudes were like a top 3 band of mine when i joined this site in 2015... and by the time the stage dropped a year later i hardly cared about them anymore (nor did i for the six years after that). feel like that's hardly a unique experience for most younger new users, not only when it comes to a7x but other similar "entry level" artists they loved growing up.'
I will never understand this type of thinking. So fucking what if you like some entry level artist and elitist nerds go nah they're shit? Honestly I think that the idea that some act is entry level so therefore shit is dumb as fuck, if it was so easy to make entry level stuff and go big (so that it actually is entry level for people) why the fuck aren't there millions of big bands?
Also who gives a fuck what other people think about your taste? You like what you like and you don't what you don't like and there will be many many many artists who you don't like that other people adore and vice versa. For example I think Oasis are utter fucking shit gutter music but almost everybody I know irl loves their first 2 albums, ok cool glad ya'll can get something out of it.
EDIT: God damn it butt, it would have been so perfect if I was the page break with 'almost at the promised land of 100 pages' lmao

Sorry for the live react posts to this album since it came out so long ago and we are already on page 100 but my goodness We Love You is one of the worst tracks I’ve heard all year. And it’s over 6 min long wtf. JotW’s taste still continues to elude me, how did they 3.5 this????

sometimes he needs to high-rate some garbage to keep us all on our toes

this album is sensational and defies goodness and badness alike for approx 80% of its runtime. Nobody still one of the worst singles of the year, but as an old-time fan of City and WtF, it warms my heart to hear these guys living their best lives with these hysterical emancipatory tastecrimes

I loved WtF and CoE when I was like 12, but nostalgia does nothing to make this appealing to me.
When it’s bad, it’s real bad. When it’s not bad, it’s incredibly boring. M Shadows is straight up unlistenable on most of these songs.

"M Shadows is straight up unlistenable on most of these songs."
Always been my primary gripe with this group. He sings like he's smelling shit.

gonna end-to-end this again soon and see how much of the initial rush was the U wot now factor

It's literally the only worthwhile song on here. I like the ending parts to nobody too actually

Ngl I can't really argue with anyone who says that's the only good one because it's easily the top track here

Cosmic kind of runs its course by minute 4 but then you realize you’re only halfway through. The last bit would do so much better if they made it an acoustic verse instead of a shitty electronic/auto tune effect making M Shadows vocals even worse than they already are on this.

Avenged Sevenfold’s music can most accurately be compared to snowflakes. Every snowflake is unique; diverse; one of a kind. Each one has something special about it. On its own it symbolizes the advent of something beautiful and captivating, while as one of a flurry it falls serenely, forming a picturesque scene so stunning it defies words. Just like snowflakes, every Avenged Sevenfold song is special in its own right. Within an album, the music is like a flurry ensnaring the senses with emotionally charged progressive.
