Haven't listened yet but from the spoilers ive accidentally ingested, people say its like frances the mute through the instrumentation/vibe of self titled,and it's what self titled should've been. People are saying it's not perfect but its a massive step up from ST and gets increasingly weirder as it goes. So thats pretty good news

I'm learning Spanish and one of the coolest feelings is being able to just read and understand it. I still haven't fully dove into tenses but I can recognize it. Still very hard to understand spoken.

For as much press and celebration as this album received when released, it just wasn't enough. This album is beyond elite. Its perfection makes me wonder whether some supernatural deal was struck between the band and the gods of prog. I can't think of any album comparable to its unique brand of frenetic noise mania and complexity. True masterpiece, in my opinion

I heard Frances first and it became my second favorite album of all time. Then I heard this a about 6 months later and for the first time in my life I couldn't figure out which I liked more. They're both fucking amazing.

This album is rather entertaining but it's still haphazard, uneven and bizarrely more bloated than the supposedly 'excessive' prog of both Frances and Amp - contrary to common criticisms of those albums. I know many people love all their material (I see some here!) which is not something I can personally vibe with but do not wish to challenge this.

Contrary to the above, the 'I only like this one' brigade will often (virtually always in my experience) vouch for Deloused. To me, this is perhaps a sign that many ATD-I fans who ultimately lost faith, don't really understand what Omar & Cedric set out to achieve.

I absolutely adored this album when it came out, and I still respect it, but I find it a bit boring these days. The song-writing feels like it relies too much on huge dynamic swings between very quiet sections (which are often uninteresting and overlong) and big bombastic moments. It's very stop-start. I find the dynamic shifts in Amp and Bedlam to have a more natural ebb and flow, with more satisfying grooves and instrumentation in general. Deloused feels a bit basic by comparison.

Yeah, Amp does have the quiet then loud thing, but it's just better and more interesting on that album. It feels more integrated into the overall composition.
